McCarthy Companies values the possibility of being a part of a team that provides Affordable Housing possibilities for the community. Our understanding of nonprofit agencies, funding and financing, local municipalities, hiring and wage requirements assists our clients in determining the feasibility and executing the building an affordable project. McCarthy Companies has been a key player in several successful affordable projects including many for the Oxnard, Ventura and Santa Barbara Housing Authorities, Partners in Housing, RAIN Transitional Housing, Habitat for Humanity, Many Mansions, Transition House and Lighthouse.
Community & Nonprofit
One of the measures that we use to define our firm is found within our Community and Nonprofit involvement. We have been a part of the Ventura County community since 1980 and have enjoyed several opportunities to give back by building projects that better the lives of the less fortunate who live and work in the same communities that we do. The McCarthy Companies understands the need for local business owners to give back to the community and we are always delighted to do our part.

Historic Rehabilitation & Restoration
Being a part of several historic rehabilitations and restorations, McCarthy Companies understands the importance of preserving these traces of history. We are aware of the potential challenges that these types of projects can encounter so we work within the building’s limitations and provide new innovative and cost effective ideas while making sure we adhere to the historic and City/Owner preservation codes and demands. Through the process of rehabilitating or restoring these old buildings, we allow them to fit a new modern need while still preserving their character, integrity and esthetic value.

From preconstruction planning to project management to construction, we create opportunities and offer value engineering suggestions to bring projects in on schedule and within budget.
